Small and midsize retailers are the backbone of our economy, but they face significant challenges. While “Shop Local” campaigns can be tremendously helpful, that support alone is not enough.
Small and midsize retailers have limited options for financing their businesses outside of their own personal resources. Unfortunately, they also have large capital requirements, especially for inventory purchases. Furthermore, the inventory management process is a key component of the retailer’s operations, but it is a time consuming, labour-intensive, and costly process.
Sportsman Logistics Inc was created to address the significant market opportunity to provide specialized inventory management and finance services for these important retailers. Our plan is to focus on small and midsize retailers that are in the sporting goods industry, that have operations in Alberta, and that have product inventory with no expiry or “best before” date.
Ski Cellar Snowboard is pleased to announce that we have entered into an agreement with Sportsman Logistics Inc to provide inventory finance and management services for our multi-store ski and snowboard retail business in Calgary, Alberta. To proceed with this agreement, Sportsman Logistics Inc intends to raise capital from both accredited investors and crowdfunding investors with a minimum investment amount of $500. Investors will receive dividend income and will also be entitled to purchase goods and services from Ski Cellar Snowboard at preferential prices.
